We are a little tardy posting our show dates,
I hope that has not caused any disruptions for
our cutting horse family. Brad Benson and
Rainbow Run Farms are so very excited to host
NCHA Days at our facility June 6-7. This has
been a goal of Brads to accommodate this show
and thank PCHA for allowing us this opportunity.
One of the greatest things about cutting is
we are all a family. We compete as a family,
celebrate as a family, and yes at times we must
set aside what we want to pick up a member of
our family who is suffering from a debilitating
disease. Brad has been diagnosed with lung
cancer and has since had surgery to remove a
tumor from his lung. With this news we have to
cancel our June show. As you all know how much
Brad loves to cut and host shows this decision
has come with a huge mental burden for Brad,
however as a family we must tend to Brad and
make sure that his health is our main goal. We
are planning on a Fall show as long as Brad's
recovery is coming along.
By all means this setback is a temporary one!
We have come along way the last few years and
the future looks bright as ever. Brad has
recommitted himself to taking care of himself
and his family first through this hard time. He
plans on slowing down with his "other" hobbies
and fully focusing on cutting and hosting shows.
This is a great thing for the Northeast! As I
know the disappointment this year might be for
some I look for a full recovery from Brad and
business as usual for next year.
Cathy and I are excited to be part of the
Northeast cutting family and will be returning
to manage the training and horse shows. If you
have any questions regarding our shows please do
not hesitate to call me. Brad is doing as well
as can be expected, please respect his privacy,
cards can be sent to the ranch address.
